Social Rx Release Version 2.5

This article details the enhancements that come with our second quarterly release of Social Rx, version 2.5. Details of the bug fixes for this release can be found in our Release Notes.

Scheduled tasks

Our Scheduled Tasks section has been upgraded to become more user-friendly and streamlined.

Firstly, filters can be applied to select whether you see only your own tasks, or all users' tasks. You will only see the tasks set for cases from areas in which you work, meaning that managers will only see the tasks set by their staff (if there are multiple managers). The tasks can also be filtered by time period and by completed or outstanding tasks.

The table of tasks has been enhanced to include a button to view and add case notes and the 'View Case' button to improve ease of use. Similarly to the Caseload Dashboard, the table of tasks can be filtered by any heading with the filter icon.

Referral form

There are several enhancements that have been made to the internal, external and GP referral forms, including:

- The GP practice field will populate from the list of options when the user starts typing on the internal form.

- The NHS number field now contains an input mask, meaning that only the correct form of number can be entered.

- There is now a 'No GP' option on the professional referral form.

- If there is a match on existing cases for the client, you can now choose to link the cases or progress and not link the cases.

From within SystmOne or EMIS, referrers now have the option to view historic referral information on a summary page, or submit a new referral. This will allow practice staff to easily create new referrals into social prescribing. The image below shows how this will look from the GP IT system.

Additionally, when a referral comes into Social Rx, referrer details can now be found in the Referral Detail section.

Export and edit options

With our new release, we are improving Social Rx's flexibility with new export and edit options. The advanced search results of the Directory of Services can now be filtered further and exported. Action plans can also be exported.

New editing options are available with all users able to archive service bookings, and admin users able to archive case notes. Furthermore, the case notes area has been enhanced to include formatting and structure options, including the ability to create paragraphs.

Dashboards & Reports

We have made several additions to our dashboards and reports in order to improve the reporting functionality of Social Rx. Firstly, the Activity Dashboard now allows for activities to be monitored over a selected period of time, for example counting how many appointments have been scheduled, action plans created or onward referrals made.

The Assessment Overview Report now contains data from all assessment types that have been recorded in the system. It also includes a p-value to determine whether changes in assessment scores are statistically significant.

As part of the enhancements made to the Pathway Progress Dashboard, users can now filter by programme or PCN, filter down to status reason, and analyse the raw data in a second tab. There is now also a raw data tab in the Patient Experience Dashboard.

Organisations can now configure what they regard as 'first contact' and 'second contact' with a client. This can be done in the local admin area under 'Customer Configuration'. This information then feeds into the KPI Dashboard, which compares the target KPI (as set by the organisation) with the average time taken by users in Social Rx.

Finally, a new Full Cases Report has been added which includes all information about the cases stored in the system. This includes, amongst other things, all recorded referral items, reasons for declining a referral and full client addresses. Like all of our reports, this can be filtered and downloaded to PDF, image or Excel.

Additional enhancements

Some additional enhancements that have been made include:

- A new status of 'Waiting List' is now available.

- The caseload dashboard now 'remembers' filters, searches and pages that have been applied. This means that when you         click into a case then return to the caseload dashboard, the table will remain filtered instead of being refreshed.

- The caseload dashboard now stores the referral date (as selected by the user) as opposed to the date that the referral was     created or uploaded onto Social Rx.

- Attachments can be sent to and viewed from SystmOne and EMIS Web.
